TV Networks Will Announce Winner ASAP

(CNSNews.com) - The nation's major television networks say they'll call it as they see it on Election Night. Despite the pleas of California officials, the networks plan to announce a winner in the presidential contest, even if the polls haven't yet closed on the West Coast. California officials worry that announcing a winner - if there is a clear winner - will depress voter turnout in that state. According to California Secretary of State Bill Jones, an estimated 76 percent of California voters will cast ballots next Tuesday - which would be the largest California turnout since 1980, when former Calif. Gov. Ronald Reagan won the presidency. Wire services quote Tom Hannon, CNN's political director as saying, "We're journalists in the business of telling people information, not holding back information." A spokeswoman for CBS concurred, saying, "We will report the winner when we see a clear winner. We're not in the business of hiding that information from the public."

Yeah.. I'm not sure exactly what happened in that case. But one thing I can guarantee you of... If 25 guys had forcibly engaged in sex with her, she wouldn't have been treated and released by the hospital.

It sounds like they probably made her engage in oral acts and she may have, given her mental condition, acquiesed to it.

I can see the lawyers lining up now with arguments.. "My client had no idea that the young lady was mentally challenged... He thought that she was engaging in sex acts of her own free will.... "

Yeah, if this had been a violent gang rape, I'm sure she would not have been released right after treatment.

Not that it lessens the severity of the crime, IMO.

Regards,

Ron
