Then we're looking pretty screwed right now. You'd think there'd be a lot more ticket-splitting and reversals if things look too R at the end. Guess stock market-wise, if it has to be one, it's better R, at least in the short term. Scary thought is that, if it's an R sweep or an electoral college train wreck, the public, which seems not to have been taking the whole thing very seriously, may soon wish it had done so. The longer term implications of having a more politically engaged populace are incalculable.
