Has this become the Joe Osha public performance appraisal thread? It seems to me that Merrill out-to-Lunch has been, well, out to lunch re chip and computer stocks for a long time. Maybe their clout will start diminishing with the huge success of the information age driven by computers and the Internet. Also the new equal disclosure thing, or whatever it's called. The very companies that they think they can evaluate might put them out of business. How ironic.

Bob,

re: "Osha downgraded INTC from 1-1 to 2-1 on 11/12/99 and again from 2-1 to 2-2 on 10/18/00."

On 11/12/99 Intel closed at 76.50 pre split, or 38.25 post split (Osha missed a double). On 10/18/00 Intel closed at 38.19, almost the exact price he downgraded before. Talk about selling low, Mr. Osha has perfected it wrt Intel.

Tony, sorry to dwell on this. I'm off to play golf, so you can get back on topic.

John
