Scrapps...

It seems like ADI has a great opportunity in supplying chips for DSL. Do they sell anything into the cable market?

I am not a techie but I feel in the long run, cable and wireless will surpass DSL as the best choice and the choice of the majority. So I was just wondering if there was any exposure in that particular niche.

I realize that "long run" in technology is really a big fat guess on anything. Thus winning a series of short runs is an okay strategy.

Thanks

Bob T.

This whole DSL market is a mystery to me. I do not understand why the companies supplying the market are tanking right and left if the market is so robust. It seems clear to me that the market is not robust. Perhaps it is an issue of buildout - the CO is positioned by now so it is just a matter of sell through. I don't know - Verata and Globespan stock are either hammered or under pressure/expensive. I'm afraid the ILECs will proceed along at a slow pace without any competition.
