This is the same argument that says texecution is fine because really only a relatively small percentage of those murdered by the state are wrongly convicted innocents -

"Chances of ANY one woman wanting or needing an abortion are slim."

I abhor abortion, quite strongly, fwiw ... there are a number of alternatives to offer a woman in the unfortunate circumstances where she considers it, and i have helped to offer them and shall continue to do so.

However, from the legal point of view with which the state must needs concern itself, the debate centres on one question - 'Who should control the body of a woman?' ... and i say she should ... not me, not you, not the state - she should, the ultimate decision is rightfully hers entirely.

No, i don't go to the polls with a single issue in mind ... but an issue can swing me, especially one that threatens state control of the individual ... keep in mind that much voting is against, not for, the voter looks for the lesser evil to evade the greater one.

If only the libertarians weren't such extremists ... at least they're consistent, they advocate individual responsibility/freedom with one's money and one's body as well.
