settlement = good business I doubt it!

Give this some thought. Do they really want to get involved with a company that has such low ethical standards, if any at all? Do they want to enter into legal cross license agreements with a company that will try to screw them at the drop of a hat? If they break the law once and hide behind their lawyers and the legal system, they will do it again.

Suppose they drop the lawsuit, then enter into an agreement with Lexar. Then Lexar violates the agreement and cheats. What happens? A whole legal battle starts all over again and another 2 or 3 years to trial draining finances and manpower and on and on it goes. I THINK NOT!

They have tried to be nice and reach an agreement with Lexar and where did they get? This is like dealing with Sadam Husein. Would you want to be partners with someone you couldn't trust?

They might be better off just winning the lawsuit and bringing down Lexar so they don't have to deal with them anymore! A company that screws you one will do it again if given the chance. They had their chance.
