mishedlo:
Gene - RMBS/INTC agreement specified 2 things

I remember about 5 conditions.
Another was 20% RDRAM chipsets
another was 5 manufacturers in volume production
and I think the 5th was try as hard as hell to get cost of RDRAM to within 15% of SDRAM.

Needless to say Intel is 0 / 5 or in bilow speak batting zero.

These are essentially correct but some one form the weenie crowd will correct me haste post haste if I am wrong in any way.

Mike, Gene - RMBS/INTC agreement specified 2 things
1)No DDR chipsets in PCs other than servers
2)RDRAM market share needed to be ... some unknown %

I assume those terms were written before Rambus made claims on DDR/SDR.
I think the Agreement is being renegotiated.
(And this isn't a good time to treat Intel like the MM's, IMO).
