Bush will get his agenda through if he has 1 seat advantages in each house.

The filibuster rule in the Senate will prevent this.

Wrong again. You underestimate the power a renegade faction can wield. One GOP congressman from Arizona who enlisted about six other GOP congressmen ousted Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House in '98. We're talking six or seven congressmen out of 200-plus GOP House members.

You also overlook the fact that if Bush wins and has a GOP Congress, the ultra-right-wingers will start thumping their chests, and we'll have factionalism between the moderate Republicans and the ultra-right-wingers.
