No Dale,

Unix Daemon must be talking about a different bunch of insiders at Corning. The evil insiders who don't get a damn about the average GLW shareholder.... they're just greedy people who want to pump and dump GLW. Yeah, that's right
GLW is just another "pump n' dump" pos stock. LOL

It is unbelievable that readers of the SI GLW thread would actually pay attention to the thinly veiled bashing that is currently going on with most of fibre optic stocks under the pretence that the major U.S based telecoms are slowing down on capital spending for 2001.

Maybe the telecoms are truly reducing their capital expenditure for 2001 but I bet you they are going to increase their spending when it comes to fibre cable and components. I think it is all baloney as every local fibre optic installer is busier than hell trying to deliver fibre to the door of all their customers.

But, at this point, sentiment is negative on telecoms and FO stocks but soon I expect the tide will again turn positive. I'm not worried as I am holding and increasing my GLW portfolio at these levels.
