Various reasons that I wouldn't understand? The top 2 reasons that I wouldn't understand are pretty damn disgusting. I'm assuming its a primal thing.

WCOM is doing just fine! They are at 1/2 the price from when I left. Only afterwards did I find out I was 7th in my weight class in sales (700%), which would have guaranteed me a trip to somewhere lousy that smells like pee.

There were a bunch of problems at WCOM for what I sold, the largest one was old equipment (OC-48s). I hopped on off to a start-up that is deploying new equipment (OC-192s and 786s). What sucked is that when a customer would order 40 DS-3s, the building would be out of capacity, it would take us 3-9 months to get the capacity, the customer would cancel 30 of the DS-3 orders and I would get a chargeback on my commissions. Next year, the rumor was that we would get paid on installations instead of bookings, and because it took 9 months to get paid on orders that were going to get cancelled anyway, I would have had to take a roughly 75% paycut.

Screw that.
