Supposing the attorney slept in the judge's courtroom without being sanctioned, yes, it would cast doubt on the judge, and on the adequacy of representation (a better ground than judicial objectivity). However, the recourse is in the courts of appeal. Furthermore, governors are frequently limited constitutionally or by statute from interference with the bench. Thus, it would depend on the specific gubernatorial responsibility in that state.......
