jhp, let's say i pulled a gun and forced you to pay me $1.00 and returned $0.50 back to you. i could claim in court that you benefited $0.50 b/c of my actions. would i be intellectually honest or is a VERY IMPORTANT detail being left out? would you be happy w/ my explanation and leave court w/ a smile? or, rather, would you be mad at my verbal manipulation of what REALLY happened?

byw, under my program, my grandfather wouldn't get ss as he is a wealthy guy. then again, he wouldn't have put in 15% of his wages for a lifetime, either. maybe 5%. he could've save the 10% and made more than ss will ever pay out. so could everyone else.

this isn't about a selfish grab for money so i can "get mine." my program would probably mean (hopefully! ;-) that i never receive a dime of ss b/c i WON'T NEED IT! but, neither will my taxes be as high, either.

i can't wait until i pay $1 million in taxes ina given year (exluding death taxes!). i LOOK FORWARD to the day! i'm going to have a party b/c i will be so grateful for my good fortune. :-)

i want the tax money to be spent efficiently and for good, righteous purposes. i also want positive programs and not fiscally irresponsible ones - even if they "payout" to some folks for a period of time. kinda sounds like a slot machine, huh? -ng-

jhp,

Message 14723511

i'd appreciate your thoughts. it seems the govt robs us of over $500,000 in principle and $1600 a month b/c ss is so inefficient.

that assumes an avg wage of just $30k, 5% return and 40 years of work - all VERY CONSERVATIVE.

pleae, let me know when you will send me a check for $500k so i can send you $800 a month. you wouldn't do it. why do you let the govt do it to you - and brag what a deal it is? i'm amazed!
