Ish ~ you might want to check the Reuter story on Gore's rally in Chicago. The Deputy Chief of Police estimated the crowd at around 50,000.

A Gore supporter on another thread just had a brilliant idea. He would raise the minimum wage to $1 million. We than began to realize that this would give the government so much money that we could end the income tax completely. We would need no more social programs (social security, medicare, medicade) as no one would be poor anymore. There would be no need for social workers or shrinks because we would all be in such a good mood. Wouldn't need lotteries or casinos any longer. Isn't this just a fabulous idea? I already feel indebted. (to this wonderful liberal thinker)
