You have not touched a nerve. I am comfortable with this. I've thought about it for 5 years- and at the very beginning, when the extent of his disability became apparent I was very grieved. Acceptance set in years ago. I am quick to accept faits accomplis- there is no point in being miserable about what cannot be helped. But it is my view that no person should have to bear any child they do not want (and I extend this right to males if they ever become able to have children). And people should be free to want or not want any type of child. I would not prohibit you from keeping your gift, and I think it's very hard of you to want to foist gifts on people who do not want them.

Please do remember to pray for my son's eye if you were serious. If there is a God he will know who the son of X the Unknown is. Feel free to ask others to pray for him too.
