Hi Bob,

after reading your post I checked my records and found that I bought EMC way
back in Oct 1995 at 14 a share (not adjusted for splits ).

I'm still holding and since I've about 10 years to retirement (but I like to work!) I'm gonna
hold for a while yet.

Best of luck ... and if you spot another EMC in the making, please drop all of us a note.

Although I seldom post I would like to thank you and everyone else who have contributed to this thread.
It is very informative and free of BS.
Thanks again,

Bob,
Thanks to you for all the messages you have posted here. I do not spend much time in these threads but whenever I do I always check EMC's first for obvious reasons.
I bought most of my EMC shares in 94 and even though my first year was pretty rough (I remember it dropping around 30% a few weeks after I bought) it has indeed been quite a ride.
I also have been tempted to sell, tough only 1/2 of my shares but just do not seem to be able to pull the trigger.
I also need to diversify especially after what happened to WCOM which used to be my second largest holding. Fortunately I got out earlier this year before all the bad news came out.
Good luck to you.
