Prud highlights from conference on ALSC:(11/02/2000) HIGHLIGHTS · Our Tech Conference concluded yesterday on a high note. · After three days of positive presentations we continue to believe in the double peak nature of the semiconductor cycle and believe the second peak will occur during the second half of '01. DISCUSSION Alliance Semiconductor (ALSC-19 3/8, Strong Buy) -Alliance continues to see healthy demand with a strong backlog going into the December quarter, 80% of which is communications related. -The company is currently shipping 8 Meg flash and expects to introduce 16 Megs of flash in Q1 '01. Over time the company expects "legacy" flash to account for 10% of sales. -We reiterate our Strong Buy.
