Scott.......I feel the Great Flood event is older...... Its a world wide 'myth'......not a local thing..... Edmund Haley believed the flood was due to a comet impacting the ice fields of the North....ending the last Great Ice Age.... Andaman Islanders off of Thailand have an oral history that recalls weeks of darkness......severe storms...and the eventual submersion of most of their land...forcing them to retreat to mountain tops to survive........Thus creating the islands where these tribals live today......
