There was an article posted here a couple of months ago, that talked about future cash registers being (essentially) PC's that were connected to the Internet, to record sales and check inventories in real time. That's what, about 10 microprocessors per grocery store? How many grocery stores are there in the world, how many WalMarts and Kmarts?
