ron, re the lawsuit. i pursued it. the big catch was that i wasn't financially damaged. i was let go on a wednesday (paid through friday), interviewed on thursday (planned a week or so prior) and started the following monday. i didn't miss a day of pay.

i'm fortunate i focus on reality - even if it isn't what i want to see or hear (at least most of the time). i still have quite a few 60 minute mini tapes that i used to document events on a daily basis.

i'm also fortunate in that i want to get ahead and not even. i'm fortunate that a little "sugar" was provided in my life to turn the lemons into lemonade. i don't want to work for folks i consider mean spirited so it was time to move on regardless of the nonsense i feel they put me through.

btw, i did feel i had an excellent case. the management team was extremely amateurish and the look in my boss' eyes when he spoke to me about my performance review response classic - he was LIVID but had to remain "calm." i think the part about laying down facts, explaining no rational person could reach the conclusion my boss reached in the review and then asking for another boss b/c i had lost all confidence in his ability to manage me really got him upset. especially when the facts were not disputable. ;-)

i don't even want to get into how the company's worker's comp rep lied to me. that's another story. -ng-

the root of all evil, imho, is putting one's own wants and needs ahead of others. too many folks would steal a $1.00 from someone to make $0.10.

the sex slavery currently occurring in eastern europe (and most assuredly other places) is really a sad commentary on our present level of humanity. this world is full of tragedy and an improved world doesn't mean much when you have been raped 10 times a night going on several years. if the "authorities weren't so busy doing the raping, they would be able to end this crime against humanity. but, alas, they don't care b/c they don't value human life beyond their own circle.

there are plenty of mean spirits out there and you can't tell them apart from the good folks by appearance. we must move beyond that and begin giving hope to people one at a time - in our own small way. life isn't simple. it is complex.
