Perot will be on Meet the Press this Sunday. That old DUI story will backfire on AlGore the Junior - people already don't like him.

First they try to buy Nader off and then "out" him. Now this.

<<we all know what Perot said about Bush Sr. >>

Is he running too or is that really old news?

It's "WAG THE DOG," again. Gore knew that Perot's endorsement of Bush and denunciation of Gore on Larry King would grab headlines. They needed a news splash to overshadow it, but couldn't justify a real, blood-spilling war on this particular Thursday night.

So what do they pull out? Bush's 24-year old DUI (and not a DWI-- there's a difference). Sure to grab tomorrow's headlines away from Perot's fiery appearance on Larry King.

By the way, the last people on earth to ever credibly press an alcohol-related offense against anybody, is the Washington press corps, who are widely known as a bunch of sots. Just ask Teddy Kennedy.
