There is a big difference. Clinton is in the White House supposed to be conducting the peoples business. He is taking a young intern (a couple years younger and it could be a problem because she would have been a minor) and having her give him bj's while heads of state wait and/or he talks on the phone with congresspeople. Bush was about 24 years old when that happened and for the grace of God it could have happened to just about any of us at that age. I know nothing about you but I would bet you have driven when you had too much to drink. It is not right but people, especially when young, don't think they are impaired. I still say Gore and Clinton are nothings compared to Bush. Bush is a man with character. Can you imagine how Clinton or Gore would have handled this revelation. They would have been saying, "It is a lie." "It was a different Gore."
"There was no controlling legal authority." "I covered for someone else." I feel certain Gore would not have told the truth. Bush did. Give him credit. Excepting people who have never drank just about anyone could have been arrested if the cards fell right on them.

That only shows ignorance or denial. It wasn't about Monica, at all. It was about Paula Jones' charge of sexual harassment under federal law, and an offer of proof of a pattern of behavior, of which Monica was only part.

Many people rejected attempts to understand -- and were in denial of -- the real issues involved. The mantra, "It's only about sex," was a planned and disseminated p.r. chant by the White House, for partisan Democrat consumption and repetition. It was repeated mindlessly and incorrectly, like something out of a Marxist era long gone by.

By way of analogy, it's like saying Watergate was only a second-rate burglary. We all know better. The difference is that Republicans accepted the truth about their guy, while the Democrats continue to deny it about theirs.
