You raise some good points. In response I offer some observations: 1. a record of about 14 years without a drink. Better (or worse) than I can say about myself. I wouldn't begrudge him something now and again, if he allowed himself, but; moreover, 2. Laura Bush. If you've watched her watching him, and observed them and their glances at each other and shared expressions, this says it all. There's absolutely no question that she's got him by the ba**s. You can tell she straightened him out long, long ago, and we all know she's a straight-laced librarian. There's no turning back for poor ole' GW. He's straight as an arrow.
