Actually, the annual rum taste week lives! At the RumFest 2000, the number of judges increased to 41, tasting 161 rums, though it is not clear if those were the same 41 that started, or if they replaced them as they dropped by the wayside. Of course, this was held at the Barbados Academy of Golf, so the judges may have had to attend to studies.

You know the bull has taken over when this thread starts discussing hunting, sheep and rum. hohoho

I propose a drunken, sheep hunting expedition this winter to save us from buying worthless January poots. <g>

BTW- I've made rum before on a homemade still. Distilling is in you're blood if you're from Kentucky. <g> We made the wort by fermenting sugar water.

It tasted like mouthwash. I wouldn't touch it other than that first small taste- but my buddy's alcoholic friend drank the whole freakin' bottle one night, he later told me. And he didn't go blind..... yet. <g>
