<<To my way of thinking, the type of trading you advocate is driven by the fear of loss rather than confidence in stock selection and market dynamics>>

I don't think so...any action (like selling calls) is a good action, an attempt to limit drawdowns and lock in gains. Doing nothing and holding on for dear life, that is the wrong action.

We're on the same page UF no mater what tactics you use.
Control risk, diversify, lock in large gains...yada yada yada...

Hi Uncle Frank,

Have you been using Leaps or leap substitutes in your diversification? Seems way back in the thread that you were an advocate of Harrison Roth.

I am looking to leap substitutes on some of my GGs to help boost performance and to minimize margin. I like in the money Leaps, seems to be a conservative approach. Comments?
Suggestions?

Best Regards

Don C
