I expressed sympathy for such confusion as your own in the past, semi2000. I recognize that it's easier to divert attention away from difficult issues than face distressing news as it appears.

Not only am I long Klic, but I've been accused of being a cheerleader for the stock. I feel I'm in fine company (if I'm indeed a cheerleader) since the SEMs, including AMAT, VECO and others attract a large number of love-is-blind supporters. Klic will do fine in q2 FY2001 and beyond...once the supply issues with the front-end become resolved in the next couple of months.

I understand your dismay that the sector is undergoing some turbulent times and that the possibility that Klic's announcement is a forerunner for the entire is very, very strong. Klic's previous revenue numbers are precisely in parallel with the swing in revenues from others in the sector such as Ter and Nvls. Thus, your highlighting Klic, to the exclusion of the others, allows me to put the objectivity of your posts in the proper context in the future.

Klic will likely see a selloff this mornig and then make a 'surprising' recovery as the day goes on.
