BC: TOO CLOSE TO CALL

We're now in the 5th episode of
the mini-series "Too Close To Call"

Tonight's episode "The Palm Beach Count"
or "Hanging By a Chad"

----------------------------------------------------

Enough humour .. this has become completely
ridiculous; it's quite clear to me that we
cannot afford as a nation to conduct future
elections in the manner of the present one
ever again .. We have 50 states running
50 different elections with no standardization
on ballot design, either hand or electronic from
one precinct to the next !! Absolutely unbelievable;
I suppose a 'little' fraud is OK when a plurality
in a given precinct exists, but what a joke !!

At a minimum there should be uniform balloting
precedures within states .. one ballot .. one
system for recording votes .. preferrably there
should be a 'standardized' national ballot that
all states are required to use .. rather than
continue to suffer with 50 seperate state balloting
systems .. We also need a uniform verifyable way to
count votes in real-time ..

Forget the Electoral College .. it works just fine ..
How we vote is broken ..
The next administration should mandate a complete
overhaul of present balloting/recording/counting
procedures on a nation-wide basis and fix it ..

I'm tired of "hanging by a chad" .. aren't you ??
