Just got this from my Tech department.....don't know if anyone saw this...don't know if effects Dell at all....

Dell is voluntarily recalling about 27,000 batteries shipped to customers between June 22 and September 15, 2000. The batteries can short-circuit even when they are not in use, and cause excessive heat and possible fire. Dell has received a report of one incident of a battery short-circuiting and causing damage to a computer. This did not cause personal injury to the user.

Robin - Shane Robison is a big hitter who, with his background in wireless and mobile, can lead CPQ to dominance of a key market. He could do the same for DELL or any other company, and I'm sure bidding for his services was intense. This package is hardly unreasonable in today's market.

By the way I would bet that he will do a lot more for us as shareholders than all those production line people.
