Probably because Bush respects the rule of law, admitted to his infraction, paid the fine, and learned from his mistake.

In stark contrast, the effete Clinton/Gore don't subject themselves to such lowly things as the rule of law. They argue, "It depends upon what the meaning of, 'is,' is," and, "There is no controlling legal authority."

What I want to know is how the conversation between Cheney and Bush went when Cheney confessed to Bush that he'd been busted twice for drunken driving but it wasn't generally known. Did Bush say "They only nabbed me once?" or did he simply keep Cheney's pecker in his pocket in case he had to give it a squeeze now and then?
