I like that. As I recall, Clark Clifford latter escaped prison because he was too old and feeble - the First American Bank scandal. He is considered the first high-powered political influence peddler.

Definitely a Dem role model.

#1 hot thread, wow. Any other Gore supporters here or just right-wingers? Responding to that Washington Post op-Ed notice it says Bush might win - by 10 electoral votes!!

10 electoral votes means that he counts on Bush winning Minnesota, Washington or Tennessee along with Florida, Michigan and or Pennsylvania, plus Missouri or Wisconsin or Oregon. Not likely but anything could happen.

Expect more Bush dirt to come out. From age 25-40 he did absolutely nothing with his life except drink a lot and take advantage of being George Bush's son. Finally at 41 he was given part ownership of the Texas Rangers and then a few years later was given the Gop Gub nomination. By "given" I mean bought and paid for by oil money. Never earned a lick of it. Swore to stay off bozze as his wife threatened to leave him. Was said to be a nasty abusive drunk who made inappropriate mean-spirited remarks and hurt peoples' feelings. Beneath that smirk is a lot of complicated stuff. Not someone I'd trust in the Oval Office at all.
