By the way, PPGx, (the company mentioned in Fortune) is private but its majority owner, AXPH, is publicly traded and seems undervalued to me

These sort of observations are often well worth pursuing, although sometimes they are frustratingly slow to have an impact on the parent company valuation.

Rick has pointed to at least NBSC (with its DGI sub) and BTRN (with its stem cell sub) as examples. CEGE and its ABGX holding have often been mentioned on this thread. Connetics' holding in ITMN has suddenly become much more significant with the collapse of the CNCT stock price.

Any other situations like this that people care to point to?
