Intel in their webcast had a foil that forecasts something like 26% CAGR. In some other forum, Barrett had mentioned (in 1999) that only 4% of server/WS market of year 2005 is taken. 4% to 100% in 6 years implies about 71% growth.

26% growth for Intel sounds way too low when market is expected to grow 71%. Did I get something incorrectly or is intel back-tracking ?

Besides 10% IAG growth, when highend market is expected to grow 26% and strong mobile growth doesn't add up (unless there is heavy discounting on desktops to keep market share).

Any thoughts ?
