AsSenal, I think you have a preoccupation with something that has little relevance..

The utter difference between Gore and Bush is that Gore came out and acknowledged something that apparently was about to become public knowledge anyway, due to the number of people around which he partook of that wacky tobaccy.

Bush was obviously more discreet with any activities he may have been involved with. Otherwise, he also would have felt compelled to release this information as Gore and Clinton were.

Let's face it.. we all have done things that we probably don't feel proud about during our younger years.

But it is people like yourself, who in their witchhunt mentality are quickly drying up the pool of potential high-quality candidates for President. No one wants to run for high level office anymore because few can meet the standards of scrutiny.

As far as I'm concerned, if the usage is not recent (within the past 5-10 years), never impacted one's public performance, and has forsworn any future use, then I really don't care.

And neither should you.
