Commitment of Traders for the week ending October 31 was released today ... and for the S&P 500, the commercials are more short, and the small investors are more long ...

... in fact, going back to the week ending June 6 of this year, the commercials are short 70,603 contracts vs 37,728 in June ...

... and the small trader is long 60,112 contracts vs 36,787 in June ...

I will sell my December put and buy a second March put on Monday ...

To me, it looks like the impending crash is probably put off until after the 1st of the year (or until the commercials have covered more than a majority of their positions).
