Tinker, your experiences with gstrf may not be representative of the usual pattern for LEAPS instruments. Globalstar is the only penny stock I know of on which LEAPS are available, and are as such an extreme example.

Hi Tinker/Uncle Frank/Down South

I have bought LOR leaps as a way to play GSTRF and as a way to tie up say 50% less of my cash into a crushed stock. Lor and GSTRF should either fly or die in next 12 mo; I am in the hole so far on this trade but feel that
the 03 leaps will give me more patience and tolerance than watching the stock drop.

It seems that Leaps Substitutes could be an excellent way to enhance or to open positions in broken down G and K's.
Especially at bargain prices.

I am holding still holding INTC,MSFT mucho CSCO and looking to unload half or more into younger G/Ks. Holding till Jan/01 to further deferr gains which may or may not prove wise.

I am looking to buy some 02 and 03 leaps this year in order to sell Silverbacks next year and convert the leaps to stock if profitable next year.

I can understand how Uncle Frank has had mixed results on his leaps as I have had on my stocks.

Thanks for the prompt responses;
I hope the above made sense

Don C
