LIG, I did the opposite, reduced shorts significantly and increased longs. I'm not convinced the market will sell off before the election, and I think it'll most definitely rally after. Mutual funds are sitting on the highest cash levels since 98, money that will find its way into equities beginning next week. I think the FED will adopt a neutral bias in the Nov meeting reversing its tightening bias for the first time in more than a year. The FED's emphasis now is to assure a smooth soft landing and to avoid the risk of hard landing. Oil prices have pulled back and will probably decline more going forward. S&P has lowered its average earnings growth and already factored into prices.
