Forward looking guidance is the key to the earnings report.

So far what i have noticed in Cisco's suppliers comments like PMCS--is that the slowdown theory is not true. Listen to PMCS's presentation at the Prudential Securities conference on their website. Same goes for companies like AMCC. Earlier this morning I posted a report from a semiconductor company that explicity mentioned Cisco...and things look pretty good at that company.
We had JNPR's CEO making bullish comments along with Chambers and one has to conclude that the business is really good and they see it staying that way.

That is why the stock should rally even after earnings if this picture is presented at their earnings report. Right now the doubt is still out there and that is why the stock has not moved up in a bigger way.
We shall see what happens if they can alleviate investors' concerns.
