That's just it, the obvious trendlines everyone watches. They won't always fail or pass, but most traders don't have a game plan and/or they take positions ahead of the market telling them what to do.

Doesn't make sense to do that, better to let the market signal its intent and be prepared for an about face, rather than take a stand based on random picking or intuition. The former approach is bound to increase odds of being on the right side of the trade.
