What GSM/WCDMA has that CDMA doesn't is a huge installed base, and that appears to be quite significant. As for Samsung, I understand that they have had some well received models of phones. Their ambition is to gain 10% more market share over the next 5 years but that will still leave them a second tier player. They are such a diversified conglomerate that I don't really think they can be invested in as a wireless play because that is just a small portion of what they do. They don't even have a U.S. listing that I'm aware.

>1. 1x and HDR will be deployed in 18 months.

208.11 is a global standard for high speed, fixed wireless
acess, one piece of the wireless puzzle, but for those who
want to watch and transmit xxx-rated movies in their
helicopter, on their 19 inch screen, renting a HDR cell
for the half hour might be a good deal.

Maybe a new helicopter-club to replace the old
skyhigh-club, new way of counting bonuses??

But it might be frustrating when the soft handoffs and fast
power controls doesn't work in that situation, a real
tradegy at the crucial moments of the performance.

P.S. Is that the multi ban thing Q has in mind, kind of
victorian stuff?? (There will be multi ban, multi mode, and multi network chip... and there is enough juice in the
helicopter to replace a battery in the shirt pocket)

P.P.S. You didn't really think anyone would take your list
and conclusions seriously, did you??
