You can't prove Jesus existed. You can't prove he was anything but a human. You have a book that tells you someone named Jesus was somehow related to some God. And you choose to believe that. I fail to see how you can use your belief as an excuse to bother other people with your belief. It's totally self referential. If your neighbor does not find your love loving- than you are not "loving" him appropriately.

Probably not a great analogy but it seems to convey the sense of urgency that Christians feel. I don't look at our discussions as just a philosophical game of chess, or an argument to be won, but as something that has eternal significance.

But that is precisely what it is for me, a philosophical game of chess. Your analogy is fine, except you heard on the radio that once upon a time Tylenol was tainted. Your extreme level of concern is totally unwarranted at this time.

You know what Jesus said to the man who wanted to be sure to get into Heaven. From this I'm sure most of us are more or less good-to-go! ;)

Matthew 19
16 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
17 "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."
18 "Which ones?" the man inquired. Jesus replied, "`Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,
19 honor your father and mother,' and `love your neighbor as yourself.

"Definition of a Zealot: one, who AFTER having lost sight of his goal, DOUBLES his efforts." :)
