Whether he was flying or not, he was qualified as a pilot and serving with the Air Guard as a reservist for over 5 years. He obtained an honorable discharge. That is all that need be known, unless someone can prove differently.......

You don't seem to understand. He still would carry the title of pilot even if his flight status had been temporarily lifted due to missing a physical. His pilot wings were not taken from him.
