no flames from me..<Then I take it you are saying that you never did anything foolish or imperfect in any way during the entire time you were 30 or younger.> My past would make GW's look like he spent his life with the monks in upper NY state raising German Shepards. The past is what shapes ones opinion..I didn't bring up GW in my post. The question in my mind would be,did he learn a lesson from the experience? Will he be a better president for that experience? And if he does it again, can I cut his private parts off and hang them from the grill of my F350?..:^)
PS: sorry all, I'll drop the subject,,enjoy the weekend

ROIL earnings out:

Production up 22%, now selling for 3.4 times 2000 cash flow and they settled the MMS's portion of the Phillips claim for 1/4 of the amount of the appellate courts award.

If anyone in the business has ever worked with the MMS, you will appreciate what this means. The MMS is tougher than the the "old" IRS was.

James A. Watt, President and Chief Executive Officer said, "Phillips' claim for net profits and the MMS' claim for royalties on the TETCO settlement and the pipeline tariff issue are almost identical. When equalized on a percentage basis, Phillips' claims and the January 2000 appellate decision are more than four times the MMS settlement. Remarkably, this settlement with the MMS was reached in under two years, while Phillips has been litigating their claim for over ten years. The inequity of the appellate court ruling is obvious, and we intend to pursue these issues through the court system to achieve a fair and equitable resolution for our shareholders."
