san- This wired magazine has a lot of material from Microsoft's point of view.

wired.com

It isn't available free until Nov 14 but I saw an interview with John Heilemann and it's good stuff. One point I do remember is Bill Gates saying that tying the Browser to the OS was his strongest point. So, yes Judicial review will sort it out.

About the Supreme Court. Some time back there was an analysis that it would come down on anti-trust 5 to 4 in favor of Microsoft. I don't remember the details but some of it had to do with plain old anti-anti-trust feeling on one or two of the Judges part.

Any way the Supreme Court is a year away. I bought MSFT the day the case was passed to the Appeals Court (paid the spike price) and sold this morning because I'm convinced Gore will win and the case will be vigorously continued to conclusion.

In the process I've been experimenting more with Microsoft's software. I've always felt it was quite good just not up to my standards. However I judged that waiting for the rest of the industry to get its act together I might face senility.
