The fact is that liberalism stands to be refuted in this coming election. It's great to have all of these touchy-feely thoughts about how it should be, but unfortunately, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. People work hard, and they're tired of paying for ineffective government programs.

The Gore plan doesn't call for results-oriented programs (see education). That should be warning sign #1. In the end, Gore wants the issue, and has no intention of ever doing anything about it. Otherwise, they would've done something about these issues the last eight years that they've been in office.

And I hope no one is stupid enough to blame it on the Republican Congress. Clinton can take credit for "accomplishing" the economy, but has been thwarted on Social Security, Medicare, and Education reform? Give me a break!

One other thing... Tax cuts are not "spending". How insulting it is to many, and should be to all tax payers, when politicians talk about Republican tax cuts being "spending" the government's money.

The pork wagon is coming to the station, and it's not going anywhere from there.
