DTHC, I assume your interest in Lumera is an arbitrage play on MVIS? Lumera is still looking for first round Venture Capital. Can MVIS provide the VC? if not let's see who provides the VC financing.

Opticals start ups have to balance between financial operations and "next generation technology". Lots of sales with no research won't keep the products current and all research and no sales won't get Wall Street's endorsement.

Who is buying their product? Nortel, Lucent, Alactel Cisco and Marconi are the buyers of optical components once they endorse Lumera's product, you know it's a better mousetrap.

Faster is better, so keep me posted, Lumera sounds interesting!

Duct Tape Hair Club check Out Agility Communications, Mahi Networks and Lightchip select optical players and further along in financing than Lumera. Abitrage plays thru London Pacific LDP. MVIS has a higher percentage ownership in Lumera, so you may get more bang for the buck. I believe MVIS / Lumera may be a longer term play to market than the 3 LDP holdings.

Optical Enlightenment, from Forbes article is a good overview of optical industry leaders. Mentions three of London Pacific's LDP private holdings as major competitors with the big boys. forbes.com
