Whether the working set fits in the cache or not, the point is that quick access to the data is vital in FPU-intensive tasks. And even if the working set fits in the cache, bandwidth is still very important (though in this case, it's cache bandwidth, not memory bandwidth).

Ah well, if it still sounds like doublespeak on my part, then never mind.
