Al is a KNOWN addict? I've no idea what level of proof you have that he was an "addict". Frankly I've seen about the same level of "proof" For Bush's cocaine habit as for Gore's "addiction" while a congressman. That would be rumor and innuendo- and quite honestly, I've never paid much attention to that stuff.

I think the press likes to roast a hypocrite when they find one. Such roastings are different now than they used to be. When Ted drove off that bridge we had a kinder gentler media- and it wasn't just the democrats that benefited from that. I think Ted's abysmal behavior has by now been thoroughly aired in the media. Don't get your panties in a twist because the media now has a taste for any blood in the water. They made great sport of Clinton- it just didn't work out very well. But sex with an intern doesn't endanger anyone else. I don't believe there is a MASWI (Mother's Against Sex With Interns) Driving drunk does endanger others- and the national perception is that it is very bad behavior indeed.

It's not my fault Bush got caught with his pants down- so to speak. The incident doesn't really bother me, and of course I expect lying from everyone. But I think Gore may win because of it.
