Over the years the Govt has STOLEN THAT MONEY and put it into the General Fund. With all do respect. I don't believe that is quite accurate. While I would agree with you that some of the accounting practices you identify are perhaps questionable, I believe that the Social security funds were were used to purchase Treasuries and the SS funds went into the General Fund. That particular strategy helped "conceal" or minimize the deficit spending that was occurring. But SS still holds the Treasuries. If you were to believe that the Treasuries can not be redeemed then stolen would be appropriate. If you look into the history of the movement of the SS funds, I think you'll find that both parties happily supported the game. jttmab

Please don't waste our time with your ignorant confusion about social security. You obviously know nothing about it and refuse to learn. I am not pleased that you think brawling and theft and drunken driving are trivia. The ruling classes must not be allowed to stumble drunkenly about town committing crimes and later covering them up and denying them. Bush is an unreformed drunk and from what he refuses to deny, a coke addict.
