>>Of course they did, they were early participants. A more important question is, will our children and grandchildren enjoy anywhere near the level of benefits that our parents and grandparents did. The answer is no, a ponzi scheme always collapses of its own weight.<<
how long have i been hearing about SS collapsing?20 years, maybe longer? But SS is still here. And i believe the gov`t will honor SS in the future. It is certainly within the ability of the US to take care of its citizens.
So the gov`t is running a ponzi scheme. lol

<<<I do not think SS is a scam but a successful gov`t program.>>>

>>>You have a strange definition of success.<<<
well SS was instituted when?over 60 years ago. so how long does a program have to be successful before you will acknowledge what a wonderful program this has been for the US?

regards john

<<You have a strange definition of success.<<

actually not. anything that benefits his own is "successful." he doesn't care who gets financially raped and pillaged to benefit his own and anybody that does is "selfish."

his thoughts are consistent. i just think that type of consistency is what led to this sham program (anything that gets me votes is good, screw the long term success of america).

TURNING $500K INTO $800 A MONTH IS A SCAM. conservative math - one that assumes a $14/hr avg wage through life and 40 years of work and 5% return.

jhp CAN'T dispute the math. he won't send me $500k so i can give him $800 a month. i'd be glad to duplicate ss "success." why does he want everyone else to do what he is unwilling to do? i don't think he'll tough this question directly. he's already answered, "b/c my family benefits when others do what i'm not willing to do."

"i can't hear you b/c you actions speak so loudly" comes to mind.

instead, ad hominem rolls off his key board.
