The Republican party wants more economic freedom than the Democrat party, the Democrat party wants more social freedom than the Republican party. Right now we have a lot of social freedom, but not economic freedom. Another issue is for the federal government to quit interfering with functions which are reserved to the states, e.g., health, education, welfare, safety, and so forth. Oregon passed a law legalizing suicide, and people in Congress are trying to stop it. That's the type of mentality we need to get rid of. I realize there are a lot of big-government Republicans but I don't know any small government Democrats.
