This place was a lot more entertaining when IDC was trading between $30 and $40 and people were hyping IDC to the hilt. Now, when I see there is a new post in hype ally, my interest perks up hoping there is discussion of substance happening, maybe IDC getting a rare new licensee or an announcement of a fresh source of revenue or maybe some more incredible statements from management (remember the calculator with a lot of zeros), but no, it's always just the burnt-out shareholders trying to scare off anyone who doesn't agree with their own self-proclaimed truths and who are as sure that IDC will soon rocket to triple digits as they are the sun will rise in the morning.

I see IDCC no longer has a p/e of over 400, now it's just listed as "not applicable". What, no earnings for the great technological power-house? Oh, that's right, IDC is about THREE GEE, not boring old 2G. I imagine as 3G becomes commonplace we will learn the real profit is in FOUR GEE.

As for me, I want a little evidence that IDCC can license their patents to someone who will actually make it worthwhile to be a shareholder before I risk my capital.

Has anybody bothered to call the semiconductor companies to ask if they are manufacturing W-CDMA ASICs?
I know at least one company that is actively searching for a semiconductor company to produce their ASIC.

Could anybody produce a list of companies that are likely to produce W-CDMA ASICs?

There is Golden Bridge Technology, gbtwireless.com, and InterDigital Communications (IDCC).

IDCC, as you know, is working with Nokia to develop 3G building blocks. I believe IDCC's ASIC is ready to go, and they are just waiting for a chip partner to begin production.<<<<<<<
well has production begun?lol
